Why isn't my deposit included in my full invoice price?

As stated in our Terms & Conditions, your deposit is used to reserve your date/time slot! You will receive this deposit back once your picnic is done, as long as nothing is damaged, missing, etc. If something is damaged or missing, your deposit is voided.


Where can picnics be set up?

Our picnics are typically set up in public parks, beaches, or private locations that do not require a permit. Any locations that require a permit will be sorted out by us, but may be subject to an additional cost(s) in order to coincide with city bylaws.


What is it that you do?

Here at The Picnic Planners, we provide you with everything you need to create some of your best memories, without any of the effort, whether it's for a Girls Day, Birthday Brunch, Engagement, Anniversary, or just a good ol' Insta worthy photo op! We can set up at any desired location, such as the Beach, a Public Park, or even your own backyard! Want to plan an unforgettable suprise? We know how to keep a secret, and even better... plan it for you!


Where are you located?

We are located in Nassau County, and are based out of the Bethpage/East Meadow Area, but we also travel and service on all of Long Island and surrounding areas.

How far in advance should I book?

The sooner, the better!

Our reservations come on a first come, first serve basis, so it's best to snag a date and pay the deposit early, even if you haven't fine tuned all of the smaller details yet (we can figure those out together later!). Our weekend slots fill up the fastest, but our week days and nights are just as fun!


Are we responsible for clean up?

Absolutely!... NOT!

Every package includes both the set up and breakdown of your picnic! All you have to do is show up, make memories, and go home! Leave the clean up to us!


Do you have a rainy day policy?

Seeing that most of our picnics are located outdoors, a rainy day policy is a must. If the weather isn't cooperating on your picnic date, you are more than welcome to reschedule to another available date or move it to an indoor location that you can provide! If you choose to reschedule, your deposit will carry over to the new date of your choosing. If you decide to cancel and not reschedule, our cancellation policy still applies (see Terms & Conditions).


What is your cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel your booking for any reason, the initial non-refundable deposit will be forfeited.

We require at minimum 7 days notice for a refund of any money paid beyond the initial non-refundable deposit. If you cancel your picnic with less than 7 days to your scheduled event, a refund will not be issued.


Can we bring kids?

Kids are always welcome! Any children under 5 years of age should not be included in your head count.

Please let us know if any children are attending so we can set up accordingly.


Is food provided?

Food is not included in our baseline prices unless otherwise stated by the specific package you choose; however, we do offer Add-Ons that would include food, such as charcuterie boards, pastries, and various snacks. Please see our Add-On section, located under Packages, for more information.


Can we bring our own food?

Yes!

You are more than welcome to bring your own food, as well as any additional items you feel that you may need during your picnic.


Can you do custom themes?

We can customize our picnics according to your theme of choice, but will require adequate notice to accommodate these.

How many people can you accommodate?

At this time, we can accommodate up to 10 people, but we are always working to expand!


Do you provide alcohol?

Right now, we have a BYOB policy.

You are more than welcome to bring any alcohol you desire, and we will gladly provide any mix-ins that you would like. However, we are not responsible for anything alcohol-wise that happens during your scheduled picnic time. IE: If you bring alcohol to a location that doesn't allow it.

We will still always supply cute wine/champagne glasses at every picnic just in case you want to enjoy some bubbly, responsibly!


How to we end out affair?

Our staff will be present towards the end of your booking in order to clean up/ take down your picnic. If you need to leave your picnic early, please contact us via telephone and we will try to arrive on site ASAP.


What if I'm going to be late?

Say your picnic starts at 4pm; we are already up and preparing for your picnic at 11am. We arrive at the location and begin setup 1-2 hours early, so we are blocking off time to plan the day around your scheduled time (that we are SO excited for!). If you arrive late, your picnic will still end at the time that it was booked and paid for.

We know that rules sometimes sound stiff and unfriendly, but we have to have them to ensure that everything runs smoothly for us as well as your picnic.
